Fairs & Festivals
The end of summer is signaled by the annual Washington County Fair (since 1798) and the West Alexander Fair (since 1906). These long-standing fairs offer entertainment, a wide variety of food, carnival games and rides, plus agricultural and livestock exhibits.
Washington County is proud to offer a wide variety of festivals throughout the year, especially in the fall. Festivals, like the EQT Washington & Greene Counties’ Covered Bridge Festival, brings folks from around the region to shop handmade crafts, eat delicious food and listen to live music.
Several festivals showcase the regions’ spirits and delicious food like the Greater Pittsburgh Food Truck Festival and Corks & Kegs. History takes center stage at the annual Whiskey Rebellion Festival every summer to celebrate the heritage and unique character of the region.
From brews to bridges, we have a festival for you and your family. Come join in the good times!
